Meet the Staff

We have new faces in the library this year, which means new names. Here’s a list to make it easy on you!

Mrs. Pausch  received her B.A in social sciences education from Illinois State University and her M.S.L.I.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After working in France for a few years and then returning to the Chicago area to teach French, she decided to follow her dream (really!) of becoming a librarian. Ms. Pausch is a francophile who enjoys cooking, travel, and spending time with her husband and dog. She loves historical fiction and non fiction along with dystopian novels and anything to do with food– although she’ll try reading nearly anything.

IMG_1880Mrs. Middlebrook received her Bachelor of Arts in Art and Post Baccalaureate in K- 12 Art Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. Originally from Texas, she enjoys the snowy, Chicago winters and traveling south with her husband and two young daughters. In her free time she practices modern calligraphy, teaches hand lettering classes, and loves learning to cook various ethnic cuisines. When she is not researching recipes or calligraphy styles, Mrs. Middlebrook likes to read science fiction and fantasy, preferably with a cup of coffee in hand.

Mrs. Roman got her A.A. in Liberal Arts from the College of Lake County. She has four kids which are comprised of two sets of twins: two girls and two boys. When she’s not busy with all things multiples she likes to read graphic novels and comic books. She’s a self-professed super nerd. She is a big fan of pop culture and all things trivia. In her free time, you can find her reading, binge-watching Netflix, or playing the latest first person shooter on the PS4. She is also an avid sports enthusiast, supporting the Bears, Cubs, and Bulls. Her favorite genres are graphic novels, mysteries, suspense and the occasional feel good romance.

IMG_0469 (1) (1)Ms. Turek is happy to be a part of the Lake Forest team! Her background is in library science, as well as French and ballet, both of which she has had the opportunity to study abroad for five years, and later teach. She returned to Chicago to complete an MA in literature from the University of Chicago. Her favorite books are Anna Karenina and War and Peace by Tolstoy and Dr. Zhivago by Pasternak. She enjoys hiking and spending time with family. She looks forward to getting to know and working with the students at Lake Forest High School.

Ms. Mobile

Mrs. Mobile received her B.F.A from Ray-Vogue School of Design in Chicago. She worked for 15+ years in the luxe world of home design and building before her, highly desired, career change to high school life. She is the bookstore manager, testing coordinator and assistant junior varsity softball coach. She lives in Lake Forest with her husband and her daughter Cynthia. In her free time she enjoys camping adventures with her family. This year she hopes to clear a few items off the family bucket list and to enjoy a few great fictional reads. She is always looking for book recommendations.
